Congratulations to cute, cute, cute Martha Emmons of BikeWorld and all the awesome volunteers who made yesterday's Bikes on Broadway a huge success! It was a great afternoon, with Broadway closed to cars from 21st down to 4th streets. The community spirit was just amazing. Nicole Brown of The Yoga Center set up a water table at her corner on 7th and Broadway so that walkers, joggers, strollers and bikers could stop and cool off a bit.
Hottie Laqueta Perry has a front-page photo story about it on the cover of today's Sun, and reports that the next one is tentatively set for Sunday, October 12. Roll on, MzMartha!
