The fine folks at the American Red Cross on 8th and Monroe were greeted by a flock of pink flamingos yesterday. Isn't that the cutest thing?
It's all part of a fundraiser for the Wildcats Fast Pitch girls' softball teams. For a mere $15, you can arrange to flock a friend and help raise money for the teams to travel and play in tournaments all over the region.
The Wildcats are so good that they've made the "world series." So they need extra money to travel further distances — $10,000, in fact. That's a lot of birds. Help 'em out by calling Gabrielle Mitchell, 331.1598. She's the one doing the flocking — in fact, she has orders to flock at least three places per night over the next week or so. So watch out! You might be next!
